Talk - Multicellular synthetic biology; Understanding the design principles of intercellular communication
It is a pleasure to announce that the CU SynBioSoc Michaelmas Keynote this year will be delivered, over Zoom, by Professor Matthew Bennett (Departments of Biosciences & Bioengineering, Rice University) at 6 PM GMT on Monday 13th December.
Please register for the talk via the following link and feel free to circulate it & the attached flyer among others who may find it of interest: https://bit.ly/CUSBS_M21_key
Prof. Bennett, having come from a background (B.S. and Ph.D.) in physics is now highly regarded in the field of synthetic biology for his work engineering microbial consortia and applying theoretical physics & microfluidic techniques to their study. We hope that his talk, titled Multicellular synthetic biology: Understanding the design principles of intercellular communication, will be an exciting close to the Society’s offerings this calendar year and that it might help inspire future SynBio endeavours, such as the prospective 2022 iGEM Competition team! We look forward to seeing you there!
